Vista Heights Elementary School
The Vista Heights partnership is one of the longest running community investment donations at TAQA, spanning over a decade.
The annual donation, raised through the TAQA Cares campaign, goes towards their ‘Apple a day’ program that is open to all 144 students at the school. Apples are put out in every classroom, ensuring the students have access whenever they’re hungry. It has a tangible effect on the lives of the children by providing the basic needs of a healthy snack.
The 2018 donation was split between the apple a day program and to creating a reading corner in the school’s library. It transformed the space to a sanctuary where the students can escape into books, and learn to love reading.
